TEK-UP Study Trip – Istanbul 2025

From January 25 to February 1, 2025, TEk-UP University students had the exceptional opportunity to participate in a study trip to Istanbul. This enriching experience allowed them to discover the Turkish technological ecosystem, attend a training seminar on the European job market, and develop their professional networks, all while exploring the rich culture of Istanbul.

On the program:

-Visit to Teknopark İstanbul A.Ş:

Students explored Teknopark İstanbul, a major technology hub in Turkey, home to numerous innovative companies in fields such as IT, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. This visit provided them with a concrete view of the Turkish technological environment and its dynamism.

-Seminar: “Job Application Training: IT Jobs in the European Labor Market”:

A key highlight of the trip was the seminar led by Dr. Voerkel. This session helped students gain a better understanding of the expectations of the European market and provided them with tools to effectively prepare for their future job applications.

-Cultural Exploration:

In addition to their professional activities, students had the chance to immerse themselves in Istanbul’s vibrant culture, visiting historical landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Bosphorus. This cultural exploration allowed students to broaden their horizons and gain a deeper appreciation for Turkey’s rich history and traditions.

The trip was a valuable experience for students who aspire to pursue an international career in IT while also embracing diverse cultures.
